In 1981 Andy graduated at the University of the Witwatersrand and was awarded the Henry St. John Randolph medal as the Best All Round Student of his class. He relocated to Cape Town in 1982 and established the Hout Bay Dental Studio in 1983. The single-dentist practice has since grown successfully to incorporate four dentists and an oral hygienist today.

Andy has a particular interest in metal-free, minimally invasive dentistry and in treating patients in a holistic manner. He receives referrals from many alternative health practitioners and is familiar with all the unique concerns and demands related to these patients’ dental treatment. Andy also has vast experience in dental implantology, having attended several international and local courses and symposiums on all aspects relating thereto.

Andy is an active member of the International Team of Implantology and the Two Oceans study group. He has published articles in dental and health journals, contributed many case presentations to his study groups and made several guest appearances on radio and television discussing dental related matters.

He is married to Alison, a complementary health practitioner with expertise in biochemic tissue salts, Aura-Soma colour therapy and astrology. In his spare time Andy is a keen sportsman with a particular love of cycling.
