Dr David Malan qualified at the University of the Western Cape in 2016. Soon after graduating, he enrolled in a postgraduate Diploma in Implantology.
During his studies, David collaborated with various government and private institutions to participate in community outreach services across the Western Cape and rural parts of northern South Africa. He completed his community service at Sabie hospital in Mpumalanga.
Upon completion of his national duties, he joined an advanced private practice on the West Coast of South Africa. During this time he gained extensive experience in all fields of dentistry with an emphasis on Implantology, Endodontics, Oral Surgery and Minimally Invasive Restorative and Aesthetic dentistry.
David recently relocated to Cape Town to join Hout Bay Dental Studio. Passionate about providing his patients with the best evidence-based holistic dental treatment, David regularly attends postgraduate dental seminars, lectures and congresses to stay up-to-date with the latest technology and research the industry has to offer. He loves every aspect dentistry can provide, with a particular interest in digitally planned CAD-CAM restorative and aesthetic procedures.
Outside of dentistry, you'll find most likely find David away from the city's hustle, enjoying the countryside with his loved ones. Being a fond animal-lover and conservationist, he often participates in wildlife conservation efforts with private organisations in rural South Africa.
