Uhuru smile

Changing children’s lives one smile at a time.

More than 200,000 children are born with facial deformities like cleft lips and palates world-wide every year. It is estimated that every 3 minutes a child is born this way. Many of these children will never have access to the healthcare that could see them live a normal life. They will be ostracized. Discarded by society.

That is why the dentists at Hout Bay Dental Studio have started the Uhuru Smile initiative. A group of dentists climbed to the summit of the Uhuru peak of Kilimanjaro in September to raise funds for the Smile Foundation.

For children that will never experience the true freedom of a smile. These facial abnormalities can be corrected with proper care and surgical intervention. A single procedure of R 8 000 can change a child’s life. You can also be a hero. Help support this initiative. Visit us on www.uhurusmile.org. Help make a difference. Make a donation now.
